Once the time has been reached via one of the mechanical chicken timers, though the ring sound is quite annoying, the timer do remind me that I have one or more dishes being cooked that I must tend to at a specific time.I got these chickens to use as little timers around the house, such as timing how long I'm on social media or how long one of my kids is gaming. They're really handy for that, and cute to boot! What's great is that you don't have to plug them in and charge them or buy batteries for them. These are old school. Just follow the directions, which is to wind them PAST the 55 minute mark and then back to however long you'd like. What would make these chickens 5-star for me at $12.50 per chicken is if they clucked to signal that time's up as opposed to a noisy, buzzy ding. It's kind of unsettling. And maybe a little more substantial, not so lightweight and plastic. Still, that being said, these are cute timers to have around, and I'd buy them again, despite the relatively high price.I love these!!!! Great quality!I really like them. They are so cute but only one works. The other does not work so I am very disappointed to have spend so much for only one.Would've given more star rating if both worked. These chickens ring loud and clear when the time is upcute. cheap. but not great time keeper. Especially for less than 10". I ended up tossing out and using iphone timer!Had a very similar style that was broken. I had hoped these would be as good in quality but were not.Great products !!!!
