First off, my dryer is a Whirlpool LER7646EQ1 and it's a perfect fit. It's pretty old, but I'm not sure what year. I do know that it's a common model. Now, this is going to sound terrible, but I've had it for years. It's a real workhorse and I don't plan to replace it as long as it's working, but it's always been missing the main part of its timer knob. I bought it like that. It made it a little harder to turn the dial but not impossible. Just annoying. It also didn't look too hot. But this replacement runs over $30 at most appliance parts websites, plus you'll have to pay shipping so I always avoided buying it because I couldn't justify the cost (I'm pretty, let's say frugal). Went out on a limb and searched for it here. Needless to say, I was OVERJOYED to find it at Amazon for almost 40% less, plus no shipping costs because it's Prime eligible. Saved by the Amazon, I guess. Made my dryer look a lot better and it's also way easier to turn the dial now. Vast improvement for a pretty fair price. Easy to install too. The old dial missing the knob just pulled right off the stem and the new one slides right on. Very satisfied. Highly recommend. Double check that it's compatible with your dryer!!! : )
