Took just a bit to get used to but now that we have for a soccer referee role its fantastic. Will be curious to see how long the battery lasts but definitely does the job well for what is needed for a soccer refIt works good its cheap and as long as it doesn't suddenly break i would recommend.I bought this watch last summer after my favorite (soccer) referee watch finally broke. It was last minute purchase so I was hoping it would last me a couple weekends while I found a "good" watch. Loved it after a full weekends of use. It's simple to use and has exactly what I need to referee soccer games either as my main watch or backup watch(use two watches when I'm the center ref, one when I'm sideline ref). Use chronograph as main watch and stopwatch as backup watch.I'd definitely recommend this over those high priced "professional" soccer referee watches.P.S. Bought last summer, banged it a few times while using. Watch face is still without a scratch and plastic band it'll looks new.Love this watch. I am soccer referee and it gives me exactly what I need even added time for stopage etc. Easy to use and adjust the time for duferrent levels. My son bought this watch to ref. He has worn it maybe 30 times in a year and the pin that holds the clasp broke and won’t go back together.Unfortunately it just won’t last. The rubber wrist band is to flimsy break to easily need upgradesPurchase this for my son to do soccer ref. He loves it!!!I love the injury feature to pause the soccer game time and count up showing Howe much additional time will be added to the game as a result of stopping the game for injury. I wish I could put in more than just minutes to count down. I would like to do 17.5 mines per quarter, but you can only do 17 or 18 minutes and there is no warning chime when you are close to time being up, if you're using the soccer "football" mode/screen. Great watch, unfortunately the casing broke and the watch band fell off. I had to flute the casing back on so the spring that holds the watch band on could be re-set and hold the band onto the watchThere is no way to pause the countdown. Instead you start and stop a second "stoppage time" counter. When the countdown hits zero, it starts counting up again. When it counts up to the same value as the stoppage time, it's time to blow the whistle. 2 problems. Firstly the alarm goes at zero, not the end of the match when the timers match so you have to keep watching the clock and the countdown function is useless. Secondly, this is how football timing works but not sports like rugby, basketball or American football where the clock is stopped and started and we dont have the concept of time added on.Other problems: User interface is poor. Depsite being 50mm across, the digits are really small and hard to read. Backlight is weak.Countdown function is the main function I needed and this has multiple options. As a hockey umpire it has the flexibility I needed. The sturdy wide strap means it is secure but not too tight on my wrist.Would be advisable to include in the instructions that it is delivered switched off as I had to google this as I thought it had arrived dead! Other instructions are all clear thoughI read the reviews before buying and a few mentioned it came with flat battery. When I opened my box - guess what , no signs of life. I changed the battery myself (you have to then jump it by touching the ac connector - a bit fiddly) and the watch started working.Only then did I read the instructions and found it mentions the M button turns the watch on when in clock mode. This is not obvious even in the instructions - I've never had a digital watch I've had to turn on before. I tried the original battery in something else and it worked . So it would seem the issue is not with the watches coming with flat batteries , its just not obvious you have to turn them on!I would suggest the manufacturer puts a leaflet in the box stating this , so its the first thing buyers see. This is the reason I have marked the watch down , because if you don't have the right tools to change the battery , or a spare battery you then have the hassle of returning the watch.I bought this watch primarily to use the countdown function to referee football games. Before using it in anger I took the time to get to know it and it worked really well.Whilst I've only used it a couple of times so far, I think I'm going to like it!Used as a match timer - quite confusing to use on ‘football mode’ as the start /stop os also the reset. Easy to over press and restart timer!
