Excellent to Light any area that you want to stand out!!! I have a white picket fence between my yard and the neighbors!!! On a past Halloween kids didn't see the fence and broke it!!! I have used these lights and am certain they can see the fence and it won't happen again!!! It also lights part of the yard so it is truly Great!!! Dr. GFGot these for a patio and they look so nice. The remote works great Thank youThe remote didn’t work, so we put on outside timer and works great. The remote that came with light not so goodUpdate: after posting this review, I was contacted by the seller. He offered a replacement or refund even tho it was beyond the return window! I have received the replacement but weather has not allowed me to rehang the new rope yet. Kudos to the seller for their excellent customer service! I will review this again after the lights are hung. This is not worth the money! Installed rope around our porch for ambient lighting. Remote only works if you are within a few inches-of the control box. Within 20 dsys of installation. A section of the rope no longer lights up. Of course that was TWO DAYS after the return window expired! Definitely not worth the price! We put these up in our deck around the pool to add some light and it is perfect. All good except for installation clips, should have 3m tape and screw to make an easier installLights are nice remote is notThe remote does not control the lights as it should I had purchased the same sort of lights in the past and love them. I plugged in they stay on 8 hours and whatever time i plugged the light in the previous day they come on each day afterwards. The remote for the 2 new sets will not set the lights so they stay on all the time. I purchased 2 sets of these and the remote does notWork with either set.Waste of time to Install and waste of money.Wow! Always read the "fine print". Sure, the LED tube portion of the lighting seems to be well constructed and outdoor safe. However, "the controller box (infrared receiver) and the power adapter are not waterproof and should be WELL-protected."In fairness, in the fine print of the description it does state this. However, this very "feature" does render these lights as NOT "outdoor safe" (unless you run the plug indoors or purchase an additional weather safe cover). Also, I'm an electrical engineer, and I can tell you that the wiring to the controller box and the wiring from the controller box to the plug is done with very fine (meaning thin) wiring, and looks as if it were wired by a first year engineering student.Adding to the safety concerns, the (very) thin wiring going to and from the controller box has BARE WIRE exposed. So, even without rain or bad weather, it is possible if you reach your hand down to the controller box to change the "lighting mode", if you bump your hand against that bare wire and electrocute yourself.Again, in fairness, I'm not sure if this is just a quality assurance issue with just the lights I received, or if this is a common thing. Whatever the case, the micro-thin wiring used (far less sturdy than a standard indoor power cord) would certainly lend itself to these potential safety issues. I cannot imagine why the manufacturer made this poor, unsafe design choice. There are other better, safer choices available.Purchased them for more lights on the deck for the cottage but they are thin and I wanted them to be more brighter...but if you double them up it becomes brighter...
