These string lights were just what I was looking for. I wanted round, plastic instead of glass for safety, and I was looking for ambient lighting that wasn't quite as bright as the cafe lights with clear globes (mainly because I have another small solar light not too far away that comes on in after dark, too, so I wanted to be able to add a little more to my lightscaping without interfering with that light coming on).These checked all the boxes for me. The remote function is handy, and it's nice to have options from continuous on to different flicker patterns. The white opaque covers give these a pleasant light cast without being too dim and I was pleased to find they are still a warm shade. The strand is long enough to string back and forth across an seating area several times, and the battery power is awesome to use these anywhere so you don't need to have an electrical outlet nearby. They also have a distinctive look. A guest said they look like little grapes, which is pretty charming. Very happy with these.
