OK, so I have owned and used this unit for approximately 4 months. I wanted to use it for a bit so I could give a more full, accurate review.I purchased this oven to replace a gas wall oven I had in my kitchen. I prefer the dry heat that an electric oven offers over the wet heat of gas, much better crispy skin on my chickens and turkeys and easier browning on my baked goods! Since my previous oven was gas I did not have the higher watt/volt electrical outlet that most electric ovens require. To get the special outlet installed would have been difficult, at best, and pretty expensive since my electric box is on the opposite side of the house! So started my search for an oven that would work on a regular 110v outlet. (Not necessarily an easy task!) I was so excited when I discovered the Empava brand of ovens! They have several different models, with different cooking options, to choose from to fit your style. The oven arrived in the scheduled time period (fabulous!), but unfortunately was damaged (not so fabulous!). There was a sizable dent on the back panel that prevented the convection oven fan from operating. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded very promptly, willing to work with me to rectify the situation! Talk about customer service!!! They sent me a new oven cavity right away and I received it about a week later. I was disappointed to see that the replacement also had a dent on the back, in the exact same area as the first. I was at my house when both ovens were delivered, and from seeing where the dent was/is and how the deliver guy was carrying the oven, instead of using a dolly to bring it in, I'm certain that a knee was what caused the damage!!! Either from him or some other individual during transport. Anyhow, the dent on the new unit did not hinder the fan or the oven from operating at all! (Since it's able to work on a regular outlet, I plugged it in on my kitchen counter and tested it by baking cookies!) I decided to keep it since the back of the oven was going to be hidden inside the wall cabinet anyway! After I removed the oven door (they sent me instructions on how) and all the accessories (less things to break or cause more damage to the unit in transport) I returned the damaged unit. The manufacturer contacted me to see that the new oven had been received and in good working order. Once I told them about the dent on the new oven they offered to refund me the full price if I wanted to return it or if I wanted to keep the oven they would give me a discount on it. Seriously?! WOW! You don't get service like that offered anymore these days!!! I love all the features on the oven, especially one I didn't even know came on it until after I received the oven.... a rotisserie!!!! So I told them I absolutely wanted to keep the oven. It was already a great price to begin with, but with the discount it was an unbelievable value!!! The contractor I hired to remove the gas oven and install this one was impressed with it's ability to plug into a standard outlet (he said he had never seen one like that before) and he really like the slick look of the black mirrored glass, stainless handle and the digital touchscreen operations! Another bonus of this oven, and I found it out the hard way by crisping a batch of cookies a bit too much, is that it cooks SUPER fast!!! I mean like 40% faster! My cookies which normally take 8-10 minutes only take about 6 minutes now! Although I have to calculate the time and watch most everything I cook in this oven (not necessarily a bad thing!) I am able to get dinner, and dessert, on the table much faster!!! I have yet to try the rotisserie, but I can't wait! (Oh, and the oven comes with a drip pan to catch the juices when you use the rotisserie!!!) Needless to say, I am very pleased with my oven, and the customer service I received from this company was by far some of the best I have ever seen!!! I hope you enjoy this oven as much as I do!Took forever to set clock the timer on it I still haven’t figured out. And everything has to cook longer after you finally figure out what is the best temperature because no one in America cooks at these times! We use F 350 375 400 425 450. The temps are 380 415 430 455 480. On this oven I’ve had to experiment it took me 1 hour to fix a pan of brownies at 380 supposed to at 350! I’m cooking 350 items at 415 It’s crazy. But I can’t afford to send it back. And be without again! Learning to adapt! When trying to run first routine as prompted by instruction (prior to first use heating oven) oven did not reach full temperature and all power turned off after about 20 minutes. Oven now after 45 minutes on convection does not reach 425 degrees. There is a significant discrepancy on temperature displayed and temperature on digital thermometer placed in center rack of oven. After 45 minutes changed to bake setting and reduced to 375. After 5 minutes the temperature continued to drop to 340 degrees even though oven time still showed 2 hours.Oven will not maintain temperature. Reading on digital thermometer during bake setting showed erratic behavior as well, after the drop to 340 degrees on display, would slowly rise on degree per second for about 5 degrees and then drop again. When tried to bake on convection back left corner did not get same amount of heat (cookies cooked faster)Contacted their customer support, and they said this is expected. Customer support people are very nice, and helpful but the product isn't acceptable product.Oven won't maintain temperature. It keeps shutting off. Had problems with first one, they sent me a second one and still the same problem. Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN!The oven looks and performs exactly as expected. So far, no complaints whatsoever.I love the look of this oven, however, it will not maintain temperature (you walk by the oven and it drops). As soon as you open the oven to put the food in after preheating, the temperature drops almost 100 degrees and takes every bit of what it would normally take to cook the food for the temperature to reach the correct temperature. I have found that if I use the Conv Roast selection for anything that calls for a temperature over 400 degrees, this works best. I have given up on using either of the Bake selections because it loses temperature the worst. Some things turn out really great but other times, I feel like it takes a lot more time to cook my food because of the drop in temperature. I am a bit disappointed about that! I have been finding myself using my toaster oven more than my wall oven because of the hassle. Empava needs to work on this. If I had known this was the issue, I would not have bought this, unfortunately.I do not own this oven, however I am an electrician. I wanted to let everyone know this oven pulls over 30 amps @ 110 volts. Electrical code states that you should only put a maximum load of 80% of the circuit breaker's rating, on a circuit breaker. This means that you need a 40 amp circuit, which requires at least 8 guage wire.....Which is too big to fit on the terminals of a 110v outlet. If you put this oven on your kitchen appliance circuit, you are either going to trip the breaker constantly, or if you replace the 20 amp breaker with a 30 or something, you are going to let the wires get too hot, potentially causing them to melt. The main reason standard range voltage is 220 is because as the voltage goes up, the amperage goes down. So you could buy this for $400-something, and then pay an electrician to come and somehow get a 40 amp 110v circuit run to your kitchen, which probably requires cutting drywall, which you have to repair. OR you can spend a little more to get a standard 220v oven. What are these guys thinking????
