I had originally wanted the Hatch light/sound machine but realized I can’t sleep with the white noise on. I still wanted and needed a bright enough night light to help when I breastfeed my son at night. I was surprised at how small this was when I received it in the mail, but don’t be fooled because it gives off such a bright light! I love how tapping it turns it on and off and if you hold and cover it with your hand it adjusts the brightness. I haven’t used it much unplugged so I can’t really say anything about battery life. This was honestly so worth it and the price point is great. Highly recommend!Bought this for my third child, but I wish I had it for my first two! It makes MOTN feedings and changes so. I h washed and less intrusive. I’m so thankful we bought this egg light. It comes in handy and would be the perfect addition to a baby registry or one of those gifts a new mom doesn’t realize she needs. Would be totally happy with this as an off-register purchase too. So useful. We have had this light for over a year and I just love it. We live in an area prone to power outages, so we need night lights with backup batteries in our kids’ rooms. This is so simple to use. When unplugged has 12 hours of usability when fully charged (or more if used on a dim setting). I just purchased one for a friends baby shower and would definitely recommend it.This night light was perfect for our bedside table after bringing a new baby home. We needed something easy to turn on and off for nighttime changes and feedings, as well as something compact to fit on the bedside table without taking all the space. We love the dimming and brightening feature. My husband loves it so much he wants to order one for his side of the bed too! This light is small but that makes it easy to pack, and it’s perfect for traveling with our baby.I really liked this light, it got a bit dimmer than the Vava which is really helpful when you don’t want to wake the baby but need to see what you’re doing. HOWEVER it stopped working after 3 months. I emailed them and hoping they will make it right. Will update review after a little once/if I hear back.UPDATE: they reached out to make to right and are sending a new one. So I am hoping it was a one off and this one lasts!Super easy on/off control. Easy to adjust brightness with one hand. Definitely a staple for middle of the night changing & feeds! The kids love them, because of their material they don’t break, they give out the right amount of light and it’s adjustable And we take him with us anywhere we go traveling. This is a good small night light for a child. It has a number of functions that can be controlled either from the switch on the light or from tapping the top of the light. From the switch, you're able to control the power, the colour cycle function and the 1 hour timer. By tapping the top of the light, you're able to control the power, colour, brightness and night mode. The light given off is nice and soft, so it's not too overpowering and at 100 hour runtime on the dimmest setting, it means not having to constantly charge, which is great. All in all, it's a great night light for a child with plenty of settings and a good sized battery too. I do feel it's a bit on the expensive side for what it is at £21.99 though, which was the price at time of writing.I hope you found this review helpful. The quality of this nightlight surprised me, I'd quite happily have this on display outside of the nursery as it looks so nice. I have the model with the wooden base, and it does make it look more premium, especially with the discreet power/mode LED displayed at the front. The egg itself looks like white matt silicone from afar when off, but it's actually smooth and hard - not squidgy like some baby nightlights. The nightlight, has a simple operation of two modes using a slider switch at the bottom. Between a warm yellow pleasant glow, and a cycling multi-colour rainbow show, which is really nicely diffused so the transitions are gentle and not harsh at all. Through a series of tap gestures on the top of the nightlight, you can adjust the brightness, turn it on/off (in standby mode, as there is a slider switch to turn it off completely), and to pause on a certain colour in order to stop colour cycling. During standby mode, it will handily remember the last colour and brightness setting, until either it runs out of charge or has been switched off or changed to a different mode. Thankfully it can be charged using the accompanied USB cable. I like the 'nightlight' mode where a certain tap gesture when it's in the 'warm light' mode will automatically turn on the light at the dimmest setting, perfect for the middle of the night without blinding you. The 1 hour timer, activated with a flick of a switch at the bottom is very handy for the nursery. So far this is my preferred nightlight generally and for the nursery.
