I have ADHD and struggle with time-blindness. I've used various free visual timers on the computer before, but sometimes with work there are already too many windows, trying to figure which window is making the alarm sound, and then when I need to change things up and step away from computer screens, I wanted something physical and tangible. This was much bigger than I expected (I did not read the size specs), but it works to stay in my periphery during my day. Sometimes I'll take a nap, or need some other distraction for a time, and instead of doing mental math to figure how much time is left on my phone's alarm that I set for this time, here I just visually see. I also love that there is a stand to set up on a desk, and can be attached to magnetic whiteboards as well- which I use when I'm really distractable and have to go full on tactile with markers, magnetic strips & zero screens. "Hmm.... its 2:35, and I want to procrastinate for 15 min, turn the dial. Done!" I get my visual and (annoying) auditory signal and I'm good to go. Its simple and just works.
