I give about three a day to my dog along with his food and I've noticed a big difference. He was hit when he was puppy by a car and it broke his back in three places. One disconnected his tail from his spine, and the other two places his back is cemented together. Due to this he's always been very stiff and he's about six and a half now. I know he'll have a lot of joint issues when he's older but these have definitely helped and I had started them after my sister who's a vet assistant recommended them to me. He was randomly yelping from pain in his joints and back and that's completely stopped after he started using these. He's back to jumping around and running and playing all under close supervision of course because of his issues but I would highly recommend this even if your dog doesn't have the same issues mine does. It's a great preventative thing and it never hurts to have a bit more help for the joints. He also loves the taste of them so that's a big bonus! This product is incredible. It has made a world of difference for my King Charles cavalier. She had a terrible time walking and even standing. I started Lilly on cosequin and she is like a younger version of herself. She is eager to walk and had no problem getting up by herself now.My 12 year old shihtzu had been limping left leg for quite some time. It’s was getting really bad. I read so many reviews before landing on this one. Two weeks in and I was blown away that my baby no longer limps and he’s playing again.Wasn't sure if he needed this or not, but feel you can't go wrong giving it to a rescue when you don't know their history. I do have to crush it and I mix it with an egg or he won't just eat the pill. I tried numerous ways for him to eat this and it's the only way I can be assured he's eating the whole thing!First time trying this product on our dogs and it’s amazing. I’ve seen the difference on how one of my dogs which I mainly got this product for is acting. Before the product he would not jump or stand on he’s two back legs now he’s running jumping non stop. I would definitely recommend this productAll three of my dogs seem to love the flavor. My oldest dog has not had hip soreness after taking these for about a month. Is it causation or correlation? I'll never be certain. My dog is 11 years old. He started limping on his rear left leg after getting up from the couch. He refused to sit squarely always leaning his weight to the right -- off his left haunch. He'd walk fine though after getting over the initial stiffness and limping. It seems like arthritis. I gave him some rimadyl (dog equivalent to ibuprofen) which seemed to help. But I didn't want him to take it daily for a chronic condition, because it hastens kidney failure. I researched various glucosamin/chondroitin products trying to figure out which products seemed best -- best price, best ratio of active ingredients, etc. I decided to try this one. Well after months of stiffness and limping, and occasional use of rimadyl for acute pain, I started to administer COSEQUIN to him. I followed the 2 pills for 6 weeks guidelines. He's been on 1 day now for almost a month, so about 10 weeks total. In all that time he has not had any stiffness from standing up from resting. He is no longer sitting off to the side all the time, and he's back to his old self outside -- chasing rabbits and squirrrels. Is it the Cosequin? I can't be 100% sure, but I believe so. I'd have to take him off it to see if the limping and stiffness came back to the leg. Not something I feel like doing to my little buddy. 2 stars for flavor because I tried one and they're absolutely nasty, but he loves them and gets excited to take his daily chewable. My dog was in pain from bad joints and after a few days one a day he was running around like a puppy again! Loves the flavor too
