Bought for my traveller wife, it is a nice little unit with a fold-out stand. The controls were easy to use once the instructions had been read, because because the buttons have to be pushed and held for two seconds before anything happens. Time setting can only be forwards, not back. Press a button on the front for a backlight. The alarm is reasonable but I've heard louder (I'm comparing it with my own Acctim 71707 Vista).I've bought several of these little alarm clocks. They are small yet the display is ok. Easy to set up and use. Ideal as a travel clock. A pull-out stand holds it at a slight angle to the vertical, making it easy to read. There is a light button to press, which is needed at night time or in dark conditions. Does the job well. Battery (supplied with the clock) lasts about 3 years for me. Very pleased.+ve: 8 min snooze instead of 5-ve:The light is not available when setting the alarm time, so you cannot set it without waking your partner. The alarm tone is very piercing and quite unpleasant. It would be better if the three mode switch (normal, set-alarm, set-time) had the least frequently used mode (set-time) in the middle. As it is, you have to concentrate not to "overshoot" when you want to set the alarm. The hour and minute buttons are loose and wobbly with no tactile feedback when pressed. The alarm time can only by displayed and checked by going into set-alarm-mode and back. Our other Casio (MA-5) alarm clock is 34 yrs old, feels and looks strong but I guess it's electronics are weary. I thought this model would be similar in quality but instead is lightweight and plasticky. Yes, it worked the one time I needed it as back-up to the old alarm but, had I known, I'd have waited until I could see and feel another alarm rather than buy this one. DisappointingBought one of these clocks in a 2 Dollar shop in the New York nearly 20 years ago, Its traveled all around the world since.Stopped working recently bit more exspensive today but worth every penny.
