The first of these I bought is still going strong after three holiday seasons (Halloween through New Year), long after three timer power strips bit the dust. These days, any product that lasts three years is a miracle, so this year I ordered another two. So far, so good. The only down side is trying to sync more than one -- not as easy as with a digital model. On the other hand, you can set these BEFORE you plug them in and do not lose the timer settings by unplugging, so once set, they can be good year after year. The cord is very very shortI have three of these and have always worked just fine over these past 5 yearsGot it on December 8, 2015 Stopped working after 6 weeks. Now I cant return it because I missed the January 31, 2016 dead line. What a waste of $24.38 Going back to Home Depot where I bought the last two and they lasted 3 years. It stopped working after two weeks and was sent back and had to scrounge for a replacement as we'd bought it for Christmas lights, and the hardware stores were getting low on inventory with just a few weeks left until Christmas.I have looked for several years for this outlet with timers easy to use. So much easier to use then the digital ones especially when I lose the directionsworks well even in the cold Michigan wintersI purchased two of these timers and have used them for both Christmas and Halloween for many years. They have six outlets each, so you can hook up quite a few lights/decorations that need power. It is an analog system, so you probably will not be able to sync two or more of them to come on at exactly the same time. If you are that picky and cannot wait a few minutes to have all of your powered decor on then this timer is not for you.
