The next day the candle will automatically switch on at 6pm and turn off at 11pm. This will continue everyday until the candle is switched off at the base.

These candles look great and work wonderfully. The only reason I don't LOVE them is because there is not a remote ability to turn them on. I use 15 of them in different lanterns hung on a stone wall and it's a real pain to open every lantern and turn them each on. Now, that being said, I tried a remote, color changing option and hated them. These look MUCH better and the batteries last a lot longer. So, I guess turning them on is the trade off for them looking great.
