This probe is just what I was needing and it worked great. I will say, I had a weber digital probe that showed about a 5*F difference in the internal temp but I can't say which one was correct so I just split the difference. Ultimately, the whole tenderloin I used this on came out perfect. The long cable and long probe made it easy to use and position where I wanted it. It says one can set an alert temp to be sure you don't over cook (that's a nice feature) but I've not taken time to figure that part out. The little woman wants to use it when making candy on the stove so hopefully we can get the alerts lined out before that happens. Have only used it once but based on that use, I would recommend for anyone grilling or smoking that needs to stop cooking at a specific temp.Not gonna lie folks. As a dad who grills, my smoked meat game was lacking. I would never be able to get my core temp up to the level it should be, and those little hand held ones would never do the job. I've had 3 perfect pork shoulders and an amazing brisket because I now know when the temp is perfect across the board.Works well, easy to use. Long distance remote. Well worth the money.Love this thermometer!!!
