The timer system delivers water at low pressure making them ideal for rain barrel irrigation systems. Read the manual. If you want to start watering at 0600, you must physically set the timer at that exact time in the morning. WRT to FREQUENCY, the timer will not activate until the next cycle. (If you set the FREQUENCY at 24 hr, the cycle will not start until the next day at 0600.) When installing the batteries, carefully pull out the battery compartment as wires are attached at the bottom. The dual timer is great -- I switch the irrigation line to the second timer when I need to water manually thus preserving the timer setting on the first connection. I bought two dual timers and they work great. Great price, too.
