I get an item, I like an item, the item is fantastic, I set up the item once and let it run and it runs flawlessly... for about a year. Then it just stops working for no discernable reason. I really liked that this had an LED light on it so when the main lamp turned off I could still see in the dark kitchen when I let out the dog at 4:30am.... I bought two of these and BOTH of them stopped working after about a year. Why? Cheap stuff never lasts. Next time I think I'll try something digital. These plastic mechanical parts with all those little pins never seem to last very long, do they. Sigh.
