I have 2 other sets of these candles & needed 4 more candles, so I bought these. They are fantastic for the dining room table, where you see them close up & want a soft, flickering glow. B/c the light is recessed, you'd really never know they were fake --it just looks like the candle burned down below the edge naturally. I very much love the remote feature, which my previous 2 sets didn't have. But it is weird that they come in sets of 3--most people have PAIRS of candlesticks, tho some candelabra are in 3's. Wish there was an option for a set of 4, as these are a little pricier than some other tapers & I don't want to spend the money to get the one that I need. Also, the color is a bit orange-y--not too bad if you don't group them with other candles. These are so realistic everyone who has came to my house has touched them and barely believed me when I said they were fake. They feel just like a real candle. The lighting is a soft glow. I love them and use as a centerpiece on my dining table. Perfect for everyday use or a special occasion.Lovely glow. I have many all over the house. Make fantastic looking night lights as well.I bought some of these a while back, immediately plunked some brand new batteries in them and turned them on. The batteries only just ran out a couple days ago. They lasted almost exactly four months, which seems like a pretty good lifespan.I was kind of surprised though that all of the answers stated that you can't see the battery. I wouldn't say that that is --completely-- true. Depending on the lighting, you can tell that there are LEDs/batteries inside the candles, which will be just slightly visible as darker areas inside the candle. But it's only noticeable if there is a bright enough light source shining behind the candle, since the outer wax layer is ever so slightly transparent. No real way around that without compromising how realistic the wax looks. So if you put them (say) in the middle of a room or near a window, you might be able to see it if the light is coming from behind them. Otherwise though, they look great.I never could get the remote to work, but the built-in 6 hour timer was fine for me. Then, that timer stopped working on one candle so it stayed on continuously. I tried other remotes from other candles but they don't work. I'm stuck with two candles I can use.Me encantan como se ve!!These things are great! They look awesome in a cute 3-candle Halloween candelabra. The timer function is very nice. Once they go out, you need to "turn off" the switch and leave it off for a certain number of seconds (not sure how long) before they'll turn back on.To the manufacturer: Why not reset the light circuit immediately upon switching them off (after the timer expires)? This way one could simply push the button in/out to the off position, then click it to the on position and have light come back on. As it stands, that's not possible and one has to wait for an unknown period of time for them to reset and while that may not seem like a big deal to you, it's pretty annoying when these lights are used a lot and one has to keep clicking them off... wait.... click on, will it come back on? No, click and wait..... Rinse and repeat.I ordered 20 of these candles, one for each window- and they ALL worked out of the box, which is a good start. I use high-capacity rechargeable batteries in these and they've been going for days. The timers work consistently, and it's a great display to see these in each window from the outside. The candles come with 3 sizes of exchangeable silicone-type base "caps" to ensure they will fit in just about any standard taper holder. They look great and realistic- EXCEPT the light itself is decidedly more orange-y than I would like. But I cannot fault the manufacturer or product for this as they are pretty similar to the product page's photo labeled "lighting effect" in real life. So the description is accurate.Interestingly, I tried to capture a photo of the orange-y glow to post, but my camera picks up the light as being yellow-white, which explains why in the customer photos the candles glow a yellow-white light (which I would prefer).I would rate them at 4.5 stars, but everything else considered I think the score should be rounded up rather than down.Candles are great and the fact that once turned on at a certain time they come on at that time daily and sure enough turn off after 6 hours- brilliant! However, I would say the packaging was OTT. Each candle individually bubble wrapped then packed into a slim cardboard box. The 3 boxes were then taped together and inside a box measuring approximately; 18" x 12". Wasteful!Candles that look good and with the timer function ensures that no matches are needed.Just what I was looking for to put in hanging candle holder, not turned them on yet as not dark enough at meal times yetAbsolutely lovely , had many complimentsThese candles are excellent and look very effective would definitely buy these again.
