UPDATE - after two months of use, I still like this little heater, but sometimes it just stops heating! Even when I have the thermostat at max (90 degrees), I'll realize there is cool, room temperature air emanating from it. It usually only takes turning it off and on again, or a little shake and it's off and running. I hope it doesn't quit entirely anytime soon. This is a tiny thing but it puts out a lot of heat and isn't noisy. I use it on the floor facing my feet in a chilly room while watching TV and it does a nice job. It has a digital thermostat and two fan speeds, both adjustable by remote control. The power switch is controlled either by remote or by a switch on the side of the heater. The "flame light" is a bit tacky, but for $40, it's amusing. The only problem I had is assembly in that the instructions are pretty much useless. It comes without the floor/desk stand attached and the instructions don't say anything about it. I struggled for a half hour trying to figure out how to attach the stand and the cord. There's a wall plug attached at the back and you have to pull out some tabs at the sides of the plug, and twist it to remove. Then the included cord plugs into the spot where the wall plug was originally. Can't tell you how I managed to attach the floor stand. Just look at the photo on the box and you'll eventually figure it out. I still don't understand how it eventually slipped into place. Yes I'd spend 40 bucks for this again. But don't expect quick shipping. Took 3 weeks to arrive from China.
