These are Not Bright, but do add a very relaxing light to the room, or rooms. I have a small 6' x 8' bathroom including shower stall and it would take 4 just to illuminate the shower stall, maybe another 2 to put on the sink basin. Once your eyes adjust, its very nice. Just to give you an idea, they are not bright at all. Possibly, a different style where the light wick extends past the top of the candle.They also take (2) AA batteries a piece, So factor that into your purchase.It comes with (2) remotes, The remote works as it should, You can Dim these as well, I do not see myself dimming them as they're full brightness is equal to a very dim setting.I have smaller Tea Lights that put off a lot more light, and you can probably get a 24 pack with a remote for the same cost. And they come with batteries.All that said, these work fine for me, I wanted a candle flicker affect with no flame, no heat, no smoke.
