Nice toothbrush with awesome features. It holds a charge for quite some time and is very gentle and easy to use and get use to!Both me and my wife use Philips Sonicare toothbrushes and and my wife was excited to try this brush as on paper it had more modes and features than my wife's entry level Sonicare and comparable to my more expensive one. After using this for over a week , here are our main observations compared to PhilipsCOMPARED TO PHILIPS SONICARE Series 2 - HX6211- For this review I will compare this mainly to the Sonicare Series 2 which is Philip's entry level Sonic toothbrush as the prices are closest between the two (even though this brush has more modes)- In terms of cleaning power/toothbrush vibration I would say that the Philips has the stronger of the two which means it brushes more vigorously. However this can be both and bad as the strong vibrations can be a bit jarring .. My wife actually prefers this one a a bit more as its gentler on her sensitive teeth/gums.- Has more modes than the Base Philips .. comparable to much more expensive ones- The modes are not just a gimmick.. You can actually see the bristles vibrate differently for each mode with different sections of the brush head vibrating differently for each mode- The included brush heads (Philips compatible) represent a great value for money- No speed setting available to choose from, instead you choose one of the 5 modes- The brush heads are a good value for money in terms of their performance compared to the Philips C3 brus heads however they do not have a metal ring like the Philips ones and as a result they are a bit louder- Long Battery life and easily lasts an entire week- Slimmer handle than the Philips Series 2- Has a quad pacer just like the Philips which reminds you to switch rows of teeth- Wireless charger is compatible with Philips Sonicare brushes .. i.e it can be charged just fine on the OEM Phillips charger and vice versaFINAL THOUGHTSOverall this is a good value for money option compared to Philips Sonicare for people who have sensitive teeth/gums because it has slightly less jarring/vibrations than Philips . While the Philips still has the overall Pole position in terms of raw cleaning power, this one is a close secondThis wireless rechargeable electric toothbrush is great and works as expected. I love that it will hold the charge for months - such a convenience. I also love the smart brushing features. The intelligent pressure sensing is very nice. This toothbrush is also waterproof, so there is less to worry about in terms of damage down the road.I am very happy with the results.Electric toothbrushes are so useful, cleaning your teeth better than a manual toothbrush, but finding a good quality electric toothbrush isn’t as easy as you think … until now. This is a Sonic electric toothbrush with a standard toothbrush shaped head, unlike the orbital toothbrush I usually use. It’s a great size with a handle which is easy to hold even for the smallest and largest of hands. It has a built in 2 minute timer which vibrates every 30 seconds and vibrates even more when you reached the 2 minutes teeth cleaning timer. This saves you counting to 120 as you brush away.It claims to remove 10x the plaque as a manual toothbrush and, although this may take time, the way this manages to freshen my mouth I can really believe that statement. There are four modes for brushing your teeth, Clean, white, sensitive and gum care. Each one being self explanatory really. But each one making my mouth feel slightly different at first. It offers intelligent pressure sensing so you can’t press down hard on your gums accidently. The vibrations of the handle are pretty minimal and the handle is easy to grip, even with wet hands.A full charge takes quite some time, 12 hours or so, but the claim is that, used properly, a single charge can last you 240 days … this I have to see as I’m not yet convinced, having only used this a handful of times so far. Although it still has plenty of power left inside the batteryThe brush heads are not too hard, nor too soft and are simple to replace. Just pull off the old one and push on the new one … and you’re done. You get more than just a toothbrush in this pack, you also get a wireless charging base, (the brush sitting upright on this without it toppling over as it charges). Then there’s a couple of spare heads and easy to understand instruction leaflet. In all, a fine electric toothbrush which cleans your teeth exactly how they’re meant to be clean. Plus, as this comes in a fancy little box it would make a nice present for someone you know.As for the price? Well, if this does last anywhere near the promised 240 days then this is well worth buying … but only time will tell.Great gift toothbrush. The toothbrush arrives in an attractive green patterned box (23.5*14.585cm), with very tight fitting plastic seal - rear of the box describes the contents. Not easy to get through the plastic, but then you can remove the card sleeve and the toothbrush and accessories are packaged in a robust plastic former with a tissue cover. in comparison with cheaper models its a much more special gift option. Instruction booklet is provided though this covers multiple models. The toothbrush body is wrapped in plastic with a protective cap on the top, and the two supplied heads are sealed in plastic and boxed separately (one hard and one soft bristles). The induction charging base with attached USB lead is wrapped in plastic and also boxed. The USB lead is about 1m long. The charging time is 12 hours but this should last 240 days assuming its used for 2 sets of 2 minutes per day.The toothbrush and heads weighs about 140g and has a molded hand grip on the back - its comfortable to hold and use. The usual 4 cleaning modes - clean, white, sensitive, gum care are offered and you get the timer pause very 30 seconds to switch quadrant.Head replacement - instructions recommend replacing with WHITOP heads which are available on Amazon. A spare head from a another branded toothbrush didn't fit. Given the large number of toothbrush brands now available I would have hoped for a generic head design. As you only get two heads supplied (which should be replaced very 2-3 months), you will run out of heads before it needs charging. For the price I think more heads should have been provided, so its loses a star for thatOverall a very attractively long life rechargeable toothbrush which would make a good gift - but consider the replacement head issue. This is a sonic electric toothbrush. Unlike many others it uses a traditional shaped head rather than a circular one. I found this actually nice and easier to get used to. You supplied with 2 heads - one hard, one soft. The charging is wireless (using induction) and the base is powered by USB.It claims after a 12 hour charge that it will work for 240 days, which is quite some claim and will take me a while longer yet to see how close that is to reality. What it does mean though is if you travel, you're extremely unlikely to need to take the charger with you unless you're relocating! What's unfortunate in my opinion is the price. At around the £80 mark, you're competing with big name brands, which have spares readily available - which brings me to the point. With only 2 heads (and even then, likely only one you'll use - I think additional heads should have been included at that price).Overall, a decent toothbrush, just priced quite high in my opinion. This is a pretty amazing toothbrush for the price. Historically we've always had a Philips sonic which cost around twice as much. The reason I like a sonic one is my teeth really do feel cleaner afterwards and you don't get that grinding noise like an underpowered car going up a hill.I like the rectangular shape of the brush and have managed to trtack down some replacement heads which is often a struggle.I've been using it for a month now and it has not needed recharging. Who knows whether it will meet the claimed 240 days/ That is seven months away. The handle is not as elegant and fine as the Philips one, I imagine because you need somewhere to keep the battery charge. All in all a quality item which comes well packaged. This is an excellent sonic toothbrushVery nicely presented and giftableThe quality of the design is very smart and the handle is comfortable to hold.I always used an electric toothbrush but was keen to try the sonic brush and have to say, I do prefer it.I find it more comfortable, whilst cleaning very thoroughly and less vibration on the teeth than a standard electric one.It has the usual 2 minute timer, that is split into 30second bursts.Rechargeable .Once charged, it seems to be everlasting!I have used it 2-3 times a day for almost two weeks and it shows no sign of running out of powerIt comes with a stand, cable and spare head.Recommended
